A client living in the upscale neighborhood of Cobble Hill in Brooklyn reached out to us at Brooklyn’s Best Handyman and General Construction after their heavy, solid wood kitchen cabinet doors had become a safety issue. Over time, the doors’ hinges and gas struts had failed, leading the homeowners to remove the doors altogether after unsuccessful attempts to find other handymen experienced enough to handle their issues. This task was ahem challenge due to the large doors and the original, unavailable parts. However, I was able to source new parts from suppliers and adapt them to accommodate the hefty doors, all while keeping the working area pristine.
